Countdown TU Commencement: Saturday, May 18 - Mercedes-Benz Superdome, 9 a.m.

Wave Goodbye is an annual party for graduates that is modeled after New Orleans' many springtime festivals. All graduates and their guests are invited to mingle on Gibson Quad on the uptown campus on Friday, May 17, 6-8 p.m. The event features local music and a variety of New Orleans food in small plates. Wine and beer will be available for purchase (cash only). Graduates are allotted seven tickets each, one of which the graduate will need to use to enter the party. Children 10 years and younger do not need tickets.

The University Commencement Ceremony honors the graduating students from all of the university's schools and colleges. It features the pomp and circumstance expected of a traditional commencement celebration with a New Orleans twist. At this ceremony, expect to see the procession of graduates and faculty, the keynote speaker, the conferral of degrees and hear live jazz. Tickets are not required. Doors open at 7:30 a.m.

The Tulane School of Architecture 2019 Graduation Ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 18 at 4pm in Dixon Hall. A reception will be held beforehand at Richardson Memorial Hall beginning at 2pm.

Following the university’s unified ceremony held earlier in the day downtown, Tulane Law School will hold a separate graduation ceremony at Avron B. Fogelman Arena in Devlin Fieldhouse.   While the conferral of degrees takes place during the morning event, which honors the graduating students from all of the university's schools and colleges, the law school ceremony is dedicated specifically to the law class of 2019.

Commencement ceremony for graduate and undergraduate students in the School of Professional Advancement (SoPA) to be held from 2-3:30pm in McAlister Auditorium. Reception at the Lavin-Bernick Center to follow.
