We are just over a week away from celebrating the Class of 2025 and your remarkable achievements! Please take note of the detailed arrival information and security updates below and share with your guests.
Unified Commencement
The Unified Commencement ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 17, 6:00 p.m. at the Caesars Superdome and will conclude by 8:00 p.m. Our Unified Commencement ceremony is a truly extraordinary event complete with stellar graduates, world-class musicians, New Orleans traditions, and a keynote address from Emmy-winning actress and singer Sheryl Lee Ralph! The Unified Ceremony will be ticketed for all participants and attendees (see below). Guest seating in the Caesars Superdome is available on a first come, first served basis.
Ticketing for Unified Commencement
Tickets will be required for everyone (graduates, faculty, platform party, staff, and guests) to enter the Caesars Superdome and student lineup areas. Graduates should have received an email from TUgrad@tulane.edu with the subject line "Register Now for the 2025 Tulane Unified Commencement Ceremony" containing instructions to register and retrieve Unified Commencement tickets via Tassel. Once graduates register, they are able to print tickets and/or send them to guests' email addresses.
|
- Graduates will receive a separate graduate ticket from their guest tickets.
- Each graduate will receive up to 25 guest tickets (not including the graduate's ticket).
- Graduates can send all tickets to the same email address(es), but the tickets will arrive in individual emails.
- Graduates can return to their Tassel account at any time by using their registered email address at tulane.tassel.com.
|
If you have not received the Tassel registration email, please check your spam folder or email TUgrad@tulane.edu.
Security
The following security measures apply to all students, faculty, staff, and guests participating in commencement events. As with home football games, all attendees and participants at Unified Commencement and school-based ceremonies will go through security and bag checks. Please arrive early to all events to allow adequate time.

Regalia and Attire
Flexibility and practicality are key to a successful commencement weekend, and graduates should plan their attire accordingly with regalia in mind. While there is no set dress code, attire usually ranges from business casual to dressier options and is highly dependent on the variety of activities graduates and guests have planned.
Students must wear regalia at all in-person ceremonies to participate and/or cross the stage. Tulane encourages graduates' personal expressions of creativity in the decoration of mortar boards or second-line umbrellas. Graduates are permitted to wear stoles and honor cords earned through University Honors, official university-recognized organizations, U.S. military service (veterans who attain the prescribed academic achievement earn special cords), or purchased at the Tulane Bookstore. Personal stoles, cords, and robe decorating are not permitted.
For further questions regarding regalia, please contact the Tulane Bookstore at 504-865-5913.
Graduate Arrival
All graduates participating in the Unified Commencement Ceremony should arrive to Gate G on the Plaza Level in their regalia with their graduate ticket, Tulane Splash Card or government-issued ID and proceed to their robing location in the west side Plaza Level seating sections (see locations below) starting at 4:00 p.m. and no later than 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 17. At 5:40 p.m. graduates will be lined up and begin moving from the designated locations. Any graduate arriving late will not be guaranteed a spot in the lineup as part of the procession of graduates onto the floor and may be inserted into the seating on the floor after the procession has concluded.
