Tulane graduates get creative with mortarboards at Commencement ceremonies.

In anticipation of Commencement, graduating Tulane students get creative by making memorable mortarboards. Whether painted with words of wisdom, adorned with Mardi Gras beads, dusted with glitter or illuminated by lights, the intricate designs express a graduate’s individuality.

If you’re a 2021 graduate with a marvelous mortarboard, we want to see your unique design!

Please email with a photo of your completed mortarboard, a brief description of your art, your name and major, no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, May 14. Your submission may be featured in Tulane Today!

The 2021 virtual Unified Commencement Ceremony will be streamed online on Saturday, May 22, at 2 p.m. Follow Commencement 2021 on social media at #tulane2021.
