Commencement week is an important opportunity for faculty to celebrate academic accomplishments with graduates and your fellow faculty members. This year, we encourage faculty to participate in celebrating the Class of 2026.
The Unified Commencement ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 16, 5:00 p.m. at the Caesars Superdome. At this special milestone ceremony, which will feature an academic procession, keynote speaker, and live jazz, President Michael A. Fitts will officially confer degrees upon all Tulane University degree candidates (undergraduate, graduate, and professional).
Faculty are asked to arrive by 4:00 p.m. Parking will be provided for faculty in Garage 1A. No parking permit required, faculty can simply inform the attendant at the gate that they are a faculty member of Tulane attending Commencement to gain entry.
Please enter the Superdome via the East Bunker entrance (Gate C Ground) located inside Garage 1 and proceed to the Faculty Robing Room inside the Mercedes-Benz End Zone Club (north endzone bunker club). Refreshments will be provided.
Faculty arriving via taxi or rideshare drop off should set their destination as the 1500 block of Poydras Street (outside the Superdome on Poydras) and make their way through Garage 1 and enter via the East Bunker entrance (Gate C Ground).
There will also be a shuttle on a continuous loop from the Diboll Garage uptown to the Caesars Superdome on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. At procession time faculty will be lined up and led from the robing room to the floor of the Superdome.
The academic procession begins promptly at 5:00 p.m. The faculty will participate in the procession and be seated in designated faculty seating areas on the floor. See Caesars Superdome maps for reference regarding locations.
Please note, no one other than working staff/volunteers, graduates, faculty, and platform party will be allowed on the floor of the Caesars Superdome.

Faculty participating in the academic procession must wear academic regalia. Faculty who need to order regalia should visit the Tulane Bookstore on the first floor of the Lavin-Bernick Center or call 504-865-5913. Rentals will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend reaching out as soon as possible.
